A busy time for MV Photography at the moment, which is good by the way. Projects in the works.
- Just received my new printer just in time for tax time. Not a large format thing that requires an arm and a leg to pay for, just something to scan my negatives and slides in high res, print my DVD labels and covers and print decent paper work for my clients.
- Upcoming photo shoot on a new Mazda MX-5. Off camera flash and moody lighting is on the agenda. Hopefully looking for locations soon.
- Just shot a series of family portraits for my great uncle in Holland and a head shot for my sister’s resume, with of course off camera flash.
- Preparing to move house, so this means I can organise my office the way I should. This includes a new desk, so I’m not that cramped.
- New business card design will be planned this month along with a new website to suit my new branding and logo. I’m going for a cleaner look, simpler colours and give it more of a professional feel. I just hope I get done soon.
- Just finished up delivering a large quantity of fine art prints to clients. Now I’ll start planning future subjects to shoot for an exhibition early next year. I’m open for ideas on this one.
- There are a couple of competitions to enter this month too. One is with my printing lab, the selected photograph will have a 30x40inch print done on metallic paper and mounted in an Acrylic frame worth a few hundred dollars. Runners up will get a 30x40inch Metallic Print. The other competition is for a page in the official Dandenong Ranges Calendar. I aim to capture the essence of Victoria’s favorite mountain range in all its beauty.
- July 18th is Scott Kelby’s Annual Photo Walk. I’ll be joining 20,000 photographers all over the world to take photos in St Kilda Melbourne (not 20,000 in St kilda but in over 600 cities).
- Soon I hope to shoot an advertisement for the Gourmet Traveller Magazine. More details when they come to light.
That’s all for the moment and catch you all next time.
