The thing is when you have a winter wedding, there is a chance of rain; and because I have never had it rain on a wedding day before, I was hoping for the trend to continue. But there’s always time for a first! The rain didn’t dampen Jade and Bruce’s amazing spirits though, you could tell by the photos, they had just as much as a ball as I did.

First we started at the gorgeous little St Patrick’s Parish in Lilydale, followed by photos in Olinda; a town special to these guys. Because our initial plan got washed out we improvised by getting some chips from the local fish and chips shop, an idea most welcome by all involved. Later we pulled out all the stops with some adventurous lighting (albeit a little damp) at the gorgeous Marybrooke Property in Sherbrooke. Thanks to Alex of Alexander Gardner Photography for his excellent shooting help and being the flash guru as well as congratulations to Jade and Bruce.

Love the balance of ambient & OCF in the last image Marcel! Gotta watch out for dirty wet car wheels if the Bride is standing anywhere nearby :)

Thanks to big Al who helped make this image happen. Light positioning, power levels and getting wet in the rain.
